Streamlined Evaluation Process
We simplify the evaluation process to ensure a smooth experience for our clients. Elona has been working in the addiction and mental health field since 2006 and has extensive experience in completing Secretary of State and Driver's License Reinstatement Substance Use Evaluations for individuals who have lost their driving privileges due to drug and/or alcohol-related convictions. She provides comprehensive assessments required by the Michigan Secretary of State for those seeking to reinstate their driving privileges after substance-related offenses. Elona is skilled at assisting clients throughout the reinstatement process, ensuring that all necessary evaluations and documentation are completed accurately.
Evaluation Components
The evaluation is thorough and includes:
- A test questionnaire
- An assessment of your substance abuse history and completed treatments
- A review of your previous legal history
- Evaluation of support systems
- Prognosis for ongoing recovery
Additionally, you will need to obtain a drug screen from a certified lab that meets state requirements.
Expert Guidance
A comprehensive and well-informed evaluation by an experienced professional can significantly enhance your chances of a favorable outcome. With 18 years of experience, I can identify the key factors that a hearing officer will consider and advise you on any issues you may need to resolve before proceeding. I’m here to guide you through the evaluation process and provide tailored recommendations regarding treatment options, the appropriate length of sobriety, and supportive resources to help you regain your license—even before you are ready to request the evaluation or hearing.
Relevant Offenses
If you have been charged with a driving offense while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, an assessment may be required as part of court litigation or a license appeal for restoration. You will also need to obtain a drug screen that meets state requirements from a certified lab.
Credentials and Experience
Elona holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Detroit Mercy. She is a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC) through the Michigan Certification Board for Addiction Professionals (MCBAP). Telehealth Convenience
Evaluations can be conducted through telehealth for your convenience, including for out-of-state residents. We will provide a list of required documents, which can be securely uploaded through our patient portal. The Department of State requires results from a 12-panel drug screen with integrity checks from a certified lab (referral available upon request).
Upon receiving all your documentation, we can quickly schedule an appointment and complete the assessment within 7-10 business days. Please feel free to call, text, or email anytime with any questions.
